Letting Go: The Teachings of Meister Eckhart

A weekend retreat devoted to exploring the teachings of the 14th century Christian mystic Meister Eckhart. An emphasis will be given to the ways in which Eckhart invites us to open our mind and heart to a profound experience of God's oneness with us in the intimate details of our everyday lives. Time will be given for group meditation, personal reflection and discussion of the themes presented.

The topics covered in the conferences include:
  • Introduction: Who was Meister Eckhart? The guiding principles of his teachings.
  • Setting out on the path of detachment: Dying to the illusions that imprison us.
  • The Birth of the word in the soul: As detachment deepens we discover God to be the reality of ourselves, others, and all things.
  • Breakthrough into the Godhead: Passing into the divine mystery that we and all things manifest.
